The Quarterly 2012

Accreditation of health service training posts encompasses new training posts and training posts due for re-accreditation.

The College ensures continuous quality assurance in the delivery of the RACMA Fellowship training program through the accreditation process. Accreditation requires joint governance between RACMA and the health service training organisations to ensure access to training opportunities and compliance with training standards, with both parties concentrating on educational outcomes and continuous quality improvement.

In March, the College commenced its 2012 schedule of site visits to accredit training posts with visits to Sydney Adventist Hospital, Apunipima Cape York Health Council and the Defence Joint Health Command, Townsville. Sites demonstrated support and enthusiasm for the RACMA Fellowship Training Program with readiness to offer opportunities to meet competencies under the RACMA Leadership and Management Curriculum.

Below are training posts scheduled for accreditation site visits in 2012:

If an application for accreditation of a RACMA training post was submitted or your training post is due for re-accreditation, you will be contacted by the College to arrange a site visit. Applications for accreditation can be submitted for medical administration training posts that are currently vacant, with a view to filling the role. Upon meeting requirements, the training post will be assigned provisional accreditation and a site visit arranged once the training post has been confirmed with a RACMA candidate.

If you have any queries regarding the RACMA accreditation of training posts, please contact Valerie Ramsperger at the College on 03 9824 4699 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
