The Role

Reporting to the Group Director Information Technology and Digital Transformation, the Clinical role is responsible for the effective end-to-end delivery of major digital health transformation initiatives; spanning the project lifecycle from initiation through design and implement, managing core project team resources and effecting sustainable change across Cabrini Health Operations.

The role will provide project leadership and vision as Cabrini embarks on a significant Digital Health transformation; managing project team resources, including vendor partners, and engaging with clinicians to effect the adoption of various digital health modalities across all of Cabrini’s clinical services. 

The position will be flexibile around Part/Full Time hours.

Key Capabilities

  • Extensive experience as a practicing clinician, preferably in the private hospital sector

  • Demonstrated experience in the planning, evaluation, design and implementation of major clinical decision support information systems

  • Demonstrated experience in the acquisition and use of health and medical data for the purpose of health service performance improvement and/or health service planning and business development

  • Proven expertise at a senior management level in leading and managing staff in a high change environment, with the ability to support and influence positive thinking

  • Experience operating within a Leadership Team, contributing to innovation and forward thinking

  • Demonstrable outcomes of maturing Clinical Informatics processes and effecting continuous improvement

  • Strong service orientation and excellent problem solving skills

  • Experience with service delivery management, including developing informed key business relationships and engagement of clients in service delivery governance

  • Sound knowledge of health and medical information infrastructure and associated regulations and standards as applicable to Cabrini Health

  • Knowledge and experience in the development of business cases and advocacy of such cases with Executives and at Board level

  • Detailed knowledge of health service funding arrangements in the private sector, including doctor payment arrangements and health insurance contractual arrangements
