As an integral member of the Senior Management Team of the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN), you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Director Medical Services by managing CALHN’s Trainee Medical Officers and safety and quality functions supporting the provision of quality care. You will support the overall clinical vision and direction to the organisation, assisting with ensuring that the culture, clinical systems and practices are aligned with, and facilitate the delivery of excellent, evidenced based care.

You will also be responsible for the provision of medical administration and clinical governance services on behalf of the Executive Director Medical Services. Managing sensitive information and investigations i.e. Medico legal and Coroners cases and enquiries, you will develop relationships and effective engagement with a broad set of stakeholders with diverse views and competing interests. You will also assist with accurate forecasting and implementing strategies to address workforce planning requirements for medical staff, and work with Clinical Directors to drive significant changes to clinical practice.

Holding a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, you will hold appropriate Specialist Qualifications (FRACMA) and be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration. You will have proven experience in the provision of clinical governance and advice, leading continuous improvement activities, and initiating formal education program for junior medical staff. You will have demonstrated success in the effective management of human, financial and material resources.
